	The full extent of ‘credit-crunched’ savings habits are revealed as a turbulent 2008 draws to a close. Almost 31 million1 Brits (64%) have managed to put at least some money away during 2008. However 13.5 million2 Brits (28%) haven’t saved at all this year, and while half of them regret it now, the other half are surprisingly unconcerned, according to research from Alliance & Leicester Savings3.

10 December 2008	ALLIANCE & LEICESTER CUTS TWO YEAR FIXED RATE PRODUCTS AND INTRODUCES TWO YEAR TRACKER
	From Friday 12 December, Alliance & Leicester is introducing new lower rates on its two year fixed rate mortgages and launches a new two year tracker – with rates starting at just 3.99%. The new products will be available via brokers, in branches or by telephone at Mortgage Direct.
